Is there a final payment required to own a car ?

We accept PCO drivers with up to 6 points on their licence. However, some convictions like IN10s are not accepted under our Friendly Finance scheme. We suggest that you contact us beforehand if you have any significant convictions.

Can I apply for the Rent 2 Buy scheme if I have a history of accidents ?

We will not be able to accept you into our Rent 2 Buy plan if you have had two or more fault accidents.

What exactly is the four week vacation period?

With our Rent 2 Buy scheme for London riders, you can take advantage of a holiday payment break of up to 4 weeks per year. You can take this break for up to two weeks at a time, with a minimum gap of 3 months between each break.

However, you must wait at least 6 months before you can take your first holiday break. Additionally, taking a holiday break will extend your Rent 2 Buy contract by the same number of weeks as your break duration.

Please note that a weekly holiday payment fee of £20 will be applied during the holiday payment break.

Can I get insurance included in my Rent 2 Buy scheme ?

At London Riders, we do not provide PCO insurance. Therefore, all PCO drivers must arrange their own 12-month PCO comprehensive insurance before collecting the car. You must provide proof of insurance before collecting the car, and we do not accept 30-day rolling insurance.

If you go over this limit, you will be charged on a monthly basis, but your contract length will also be shortened, which means you'll own your Uber car faster. However, you'll never pay more than the agreed-upon price set out in the Friendly Finance contract.

Are there any extra mileage fees ?

For our Friendly Finance scheme, we have a maximum mileage limit of Mileage is 800/PW for E class and 5 Series. 900/PW for the rest of the vehicles, plus four weeks of holiday. If you exceed this mileage, there will be a charge of 0.20p per additional mile per week. However, this can help you to own your Uber car faster, as your contract length will be shortened. Rest assured that you won't pay more than the agreed price in your Friendly Finance contract.

How does London Riders shift responsibility to the driver ?

When a PCO car is rented from us, the logbook will be in our name, so any PCN will be sent to us initially. We will then transfer the PCN into the PCO driver’s name who can then decide to pay it or appeal it.

Is there an administrative fee ?

Yes, it is possible to transfer liability for a PCN to your name, but please note that there is a £10 charge for this service. This fee is much lower than what other providers typically charge and covers the time and resources needed to process the transfer.

Can I trade in my currently owned vehicle ?
